Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Earp was last seen in Marion, Virginia on June 1, 2017. On June 4, his Toyota pickup truck was found parked at a gate near the top of the mountain at the 25,477-acre Clinch Mountain Wildlife ManAge at the time of disappearance: ment Area. It was still running, with his belongings inside it.
A search of the area around the vehicle turned up no sign of Earp, and he has never been heard from again. Few details are available in his case.
