Description, clothing, jewerly and more : A white t-shirt featuring the rock group The Who, blue jeans, white tube socks and orange and white Nike sneakers.
Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Caucasian male. Brown hair, brown eyes. Bornos has a tattoo of a heart on his left arm and his right ear is pierced. He wears eyeglasses with dark brown plastic frames. His nickname is Link and some Age at the time of disappearance: ncies reverse his first and middle names, as in "John Robert Bornos."





Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Bornos visited the Choptank Inn in Easton, Maryland on April 19, 1993. He played pool with friends during the evening hours. Bornos told his companions that he was feeling ill during the course of the game and stepped into the parking lot. He was last seen standing next to a blue vehicle.
Bornos has never been heard from again. His truck was discovered abandoned seven miles from the Choptank Inn approximately one week after his disappearance. There was no sign of him at the scene.
Bornos was close to his parents and sister, but he and his wife fought frequently and the police had had to respond to their domestic disputes. Foul play is suspected in his case; his family believe he's deceased.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 2�5% of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
