Description, clothing, jewerly and more : A short-sleeved aqua shirt, faded aqua shorts, and brown slip-on leather sandals. Her hair was pulled to the side and held in place with a clip.
Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : African-American female. Black hair, brown eyes. Tasha has a mole on one of her fingers. Her ears are pierced.





Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Tasha walked to a neighbor's home in her family's apartment complex, Valley Glen Apartments on Hollybush Drive off Ferguson Road in east Dallas, Texas, between 10:30 and 10:50 a.m. on October 14, 1989. She had gone to a neighbor's to give a messAge at the time of disappearance: from her mother.
Tasha did arrive at the neighbor's apartment, but she never made it back to her own. She may have been seen in the breezeway of a nearby apartment shortly after her disappearance, but this sighting has not been confirmed. She has never been heard from again.
Foul play is suspected in Tasha's case. Her father, who lived in Rockwall, Texas at the time of her disappearance, was interviewed by police but said he had no knowledge of her whereabouts.
Tasha was a fourth-grade student in the gifted and talented program at Bayles Elementary School in 1989. She enjoyed music, dancing and swimming. Her case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 2�5% of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
