Medical conditions : Lowery suffers from severe depression.
Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Caucasian male. Light brown hair, blue eyes. Lowery's nickname is Jeff.

Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Lowery was last seen at approximately 7:00 p.m. on November 12, 1981 in the vicinity of the 1900 block of Johnson Avenue in San Luis Obispo, California.
His mother had driven him to a mental health facility so he could get treatment for his depression. When they arrived at the facility, however, Lowery jumped out of the car and ran away. He has never been heard from again.
Lowery wasn't reported missing until September 11, 1983, nearly two years after he was last seen. His case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
